Officials from the Federal Capital Territory Administration, under the leadership of Minister Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, have sealed the National Headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party.

At exactly 2:06 pm, a group of FCTA staff locked the entrance gate of Wadata Plaza, the PDP’s national secretariat located in Wuse Zone 5, Abuja.

This action follows the FCTA’s recent announcement on Sunday, stating its intention to reclaim properties affected by the revocation of 4,794 land titles due to non-payment of ground rent spanning over 10 years.

Meanwhile the ongoing hustle by operatives of Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) to shut and take over some business premises in the nation’s capital, Abuja, over non-payment of ground rent, ran into a hitch in Wuse axis of the city on Monday.

The operatives, with complement of armed security agents, have already sealed the PDP Office,  popular Access Bank branch in Wuse and Total Filling Station, also in same district.

But their bid to take over the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) office, a sister government outfit, located in same Wuse, was stiffly resisted.

Some staff and security men in the FIRS office were sighted in a video , engaging in a shouting match with the FCTA contingent, in front of the office premises.

With the gate to the office shut, apparently from inside, the FCTA operatives moved to force their way in, but were pushed back by the FIRS staff and security stationed outside.

A tense scene of pushing, shoving, voices screaming and hurling curses and abuses were features of the video.
